Kiwanis Club of La Puente
2023 Scholarship

For graduating high school seniors who are either:

  1. Students at La Puente HS, Workman HS, Bassett HS, and Valley Alternative HS

  2. La Puente residents but attending high school outside of La Puente

 

The Kiwanis Club of La Puente will provide (12) $250 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be attending a college, university, or trade school in the 2021-2022 academic year. We will award students from: La Puente High School (3), Workman High School (3), Bassett High School (3), and Valley Alternative School (1); and any graduating high school senior (2) who is a La Puente resident but may not be attending one of the high schools listed above. See eligibility criteria below.

Scholarship award considerations and selection criteria include: Financial need, Personal achievement, and Community service involvement.

Selected recipients will be notified and recognized on or around June 10th

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolling in a two- or four-year college/university or trade school for the Summer/Fall semester 2021.

  • Must be a graduating high school senior at La Puente, Workman, Bassett, or Valley Alternative High School; or a graduating high school senior who is a La Puente resident but may not be attending one of the high schools listed above.

  • Must have an overall GPA of 2.50 or higher (transcript(s) required). Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

Kiwanis Club of Hacienda Heights
2023 Scholarships

1. GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must live in or attend a high school in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District and be a graduating senior in good standing.

Scholarship awards are $750.

2. MISS 4th of JULY SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANT

Applicants must live in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District.  Seniors must be in good standing, and must be available during the months leading up to the 4th of July to attend events. 

Scholarships are awarded to the winner ($750), 1st ($300) and 2nd runner up ($150).

For students who are members of the Cal-Nev-Ha Kiwanis Family (KIWIN’s, Key Club and Circle K):

The Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation awards scholarships to SLP students who plan on attending a college, university, trade, or vocational school. The Kiwanis CNH Foundation awards approximately $75,000 – $100,000 in scholarships each year.
